About Argyll Flat Cottage rental includes
This lovely first floor flat boasts a stunning view over the Firth of Clyde, looking east to Wemyss Bay. The flat has independent access via its own white washed external staircase entrance with shared use of a rear patio area. Situated only 4 miles south of Dunoon there are good public transport links. You can travel here by car, over the "Rest & Be Thankful" or alternatively take a ferry crossing from Gourock. The flat has wonderful high ceilings and large windows, which provide great views and light. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, with a traditional drying pulley over head. The bedroom is nicely coordinated and you can enjoy a sea view when lying in bed. The lounge also enjoys this great panorama, meaning you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view and catch a glimpse of the wildlife outside including swans, grey seals and the occasional dolphin. Watch the ferries and yachts passing by in ever changing sea conditions. There are ample of opportunities to launch a canoe or kayak to explore the coastline from a different perspective. Alternatively, you could just rest on a rock and try your hand at a spot of fishing. There are many essential amenities close by, the local village shop, post office and local hotel, with pub and restaurant are all within a gentle stroll. The quiet roads around this peninsula are ideal for cycling. This area has great walks to explore and you are only a short drive to the Argyll forest and the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. There are various activities available in the area such as horse riding, sailing and quad biking. The benmore Botanic Gardens are a must see with its avenue of Giant Redwoods and wonderful plants. Golf courses are available at Innellan (9 hole) or Dunoon (18 hole). A short drive and ferry ride will take you to the Isle of Bute where the fabulous Victorian Gothic Mountstewart House makes a great day out. Dunoon provides a good shopping centre, leisure facilities and a cinema. From Dunoon you can take a ferry to Gourock and then the bus south to Largs or west by train or bus to Greenock and Glasgow.
