Set in its own grounds, this superb Ayton cottage is ideally located opposite the magnificent Ayton Castle, and offers peace and quiet in a rural setting, whilst still being within walking distance of the shop and pub! Set in the Scottish Borders, there are numerous walks available from the doorstep of this wonderful Ayton cottage; try a brisk inland walk, or perhaps a stroll by the sea. With many interesting places to visit close by, including Manderston House and Floors Castle, there is no shortage of things to keep you occupied while staying at this Ayton cottage. Within an hour's drive north you can be in the vibrant city of Edinburgh, or, to the south, lies delightful Newcastle upon Tyne. A wonderful Scotland cottage, ideal for touring and exploring the area, all year round.

| The bustling fishing port of Eyemouth is set just over the Scottish border, eight miles north of the historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Eyemouth still has a fish market supplied from local fishing boats, narrow cobbled streets preserve the ancient character of this lovely coastal town, and there are a number of visitor attractions outlining the history of the area, including its smuggling past. A cliff-top golf course in the town and a number of other courses in the area mean the town is an ideal golfing retreat. When your game is over, why not enjoy the walking, cycling, bird watching, castles or country houses all within a short driving distance. Both Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne are reached in an hour, making Eyemouth a wonderful base for touring South Scotland, and the North of England. |
