Ideally positioned amidst stunning countryside in the Upper Wensleydale village of Hardraw which sits at the foot of Great Shunner Fell, this superb spacious property adjoining the owner’s house, affords spectacular views across the dale and surrounding fells. The cottage uses traditional natural materials new and old, and is beautifully presented with quality furnishings and modern decor, creating a touch of luxury. This light and airy space is ideal for a romantic break or a relaxing holiday. The Pennine Way passes through the village and the famous Hardraw Force (the highest single drop waterfall in England) is only a few minutes from the cottage, with the beautiful woodland waterfall of Cotter Force nearby. There are countless walks from the doorstep and 1.5 miles across the valley is the market town of Hawes which has numerous pubs, shops and restaurants along with visitor attractions such as the famous Wensleydale Creamery. Hardraw is a picturesque village with art gallery, tearoom and craft shop (seasonal opening times), and a traditional inn serving food.
Andrea, the owner of Bushby Cottage, is an experienced felt maker and 'Painting with Wool' artists. Andrea draws inspiration for her felt pictures from the Yorkshire Dales, encapsulating the mood and atmosphere of the fells and dales with their ever changing weather. Visitors can admire her pieces and chat to Andrea about the art of felt working. |
