| Dating back to the 1850’s Corner Cottage is centrally situated in the popular market town of Kirkby Moorside, ‘Gateway to the North York Moors’. Comfortably furnished with gas central heating and a gas ‘living flame’ stove it makes an ideal base for exploring the North York Moors National Park. Walks begin straight from the doorstep with the pretty village of Hutton le Hole approximately 3½ miles and Kirkdale with its Saxon church just 2½ miles. Pickering, Helmsley, Scarborough and Whitby are all within easy reach by car or leave the car at home, the local bus service is just 2 minutes away and the steam preservation railway in Pickering takes you a scenic trip over the moors to Grosmont and Whitby.There are shops, tea shops and pubs serving excellent food within walking distance with further facilities in Pickering and Helmsley. |
