SITUATED ON THE EDGE OF A CANAL
This detached barn is situated on the edge of the canal where you can sit back and watch this slower pace of life go by. If you are tempted to join in day hire for narrow boats is approximately 200 metres along the canal and electric boat hire is 4 miles away. All boats can be moored outside the property. Enjoy a walk or bike ride along the canal path to Bradford-on-Avon Avoncliff aqueduct and Semington village. Why not try a spot of fishing from the patio at no extra cost. The Roman city of Bath steeped in history with its new bath spas shops pubs restaurants theatre and other leisure activities is 10 miles away. Bradford-on-Avon (2 miles) has lovely shops and restaurants historic inns and cafes that line the narrow streets. You will be easily accessible to explore other charming Cotswolds towns and villages such as Laycock with its Abbey and gardens and the market towns of Devizes with the famous Caen Hill flight of locks and Chippenham. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor accommodation 1 twin with TV. Upstairs 1 double with TV and a separate dressing room approached via steep stairs that are enclosed with stairgates. The stairs are not recommended for children or babies but a cot can be put in the hallway outside the ground floor bedroom. Bathroom: with corner bath shower attachment with screen to bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with canal views TV video DVD Freeview and french doors. Kitchen: with gas hob electric oven microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and a casual seating area with TV. Outside: french doors lead onto a small patio with seating. Please be aware this is for adults only as it is right on the water's edge with no fencing. There is an enclosed garden for children but it is recommended that they are supervised. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking or pets. Location: local shop and post office for provisions and newspapers plus petrol station within 100 yards. Local pubs/restaurants within walking distance (5-10 minutes) 2 miles to the county town of Trowbridge.
