| About Crown Court Cottage |
Cottage rental includes |
| A charming little cottage set in a quiet courtyard in the centre of the village where there is an attractive pond which is home to the resident ducks. A warm welcome awaits you at this well presented cottage which is tastefully furnished, the exposed beams in the sitting room adding to the character to offer very comfortable accommodation for a couple. Set in the lower Wensleydale area of the Yorkshire Dales and on the edge of Nidderdale an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ it is a haven for walkers, cyclists, artists and photographers alike. The wild splendour of Hackfall Wood offers lovely woodland walks, waterfalls, a beautiful display of bluebells in the Spring and where birdlife and wildlife abounds. Grewelthorpe has a good village inn serving food and Kirkby Malzeard 1 mile away has an excellent butcher, general store and 2 country inns. Masham is nearby with welcoming tea rooms, a glass making studio, craft shops, golf course and the Theakston and Black Sheep Brewery each with Visitor Centres, whilst the historic city of Ripon a 10 minute drive away offers visitors a variety of attractions including a magnificent cathedral, museums, racecourse, and a good selection of shops, quaint pubs and restaurants scattered around the main square. An ideal location for walking and touring the Yorkshire Dales which each offer their own natural beauty with the North York Moors, Harrogate, Knaresborough and York within easy driving distance. |
