Ballinrobe in South Mayo, centrally located for popular places such as Westport, Castlebar, Knock, Claremorris, and of course Galway. Ballinrobe is the principal town in South Mayo and its amenities include a modern sports complex and fully equipped gymnasium, and Mayo's only racecourse, which hosts five meetings a year. Ballinrobe is an ideal centre from which to enjoy sightseeing Mayo. Baltimore Golf Course is an inland course which is characterised by lakes at 7 of its 18 holes and is laid out to championship standard. It is set in medieval surroundings with a 13th century Tower House next to the 10th tee box. The course is one which will offer a challenge to any golfer with its mature trees, manmade lakes, elaborates fairways, traditional stone walls and scenic parkland.
