4.5 hours from Dublin or 3.5 hours from Belfast takes you to the wild and rugged beauty of Glencolumbkille at the end of a peninsula on the north west coast. It is a truly endearing spot, devoid of commercialism – wild, rugged with fantastic beaches and quiet roads. The cottage has been completely renovated to provide modern conveniences under a traditional thatched roof with the low doors and stone walls remaining. The Slieve League cliffs are worth a visit. The fishing port of Killybegs is a half hour drive, with Donegal town within the hour.

This cottage is as far from the big city as one can get - ideal for walkers and cyclists. The village is just over 3 miles with pub, shop, folk museum and pilgrim walks to the memory of Donegal's greatest saint, Colm Cille or Columba.
