Within 100 meters and with direct access to the river, in a secluded, peaceful setting, it is 2.8 miles from the picturesque fishing village of Killala, and 6.5 miles from the larger town of Ballina with all its facilities.The house is an architect designed restoration of the original 150 year old stone building, restored to provide unique, luxury accommodation. It is decorated and furnished in a contemporary style.

It is ideal for a quiet getaway, a base for taking advantage of the excellent fishing in the area, a base for golf, walking and mountain trekking or as a touring base for the many heritage sites in the area and the spectacular North Mayo coastline. The accomodation is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, appliances include large gas fired cooker hob, double oven, dish washer, fridge-freezer and microwave - ideal for entertaining. Large open plan dining/sitting area, first floor living room with panoramic views, 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin), 2 bathrooms, 1 of which is en suite. Washing and drying machines are provided in the utility area. Terrace with seating - BBQ is provided. The area has established a reputation as one of the premier fishing destinations in Western Europe. The River Moy is one of the most productive salmon fishing rivers in Europe with recorded catches of 5,000 salmon on rod and line in a single season. The lake fishing on Lough Conn is renowned for brown trout on the fly but produces trout through-out the season from February to September. Deep sea fishing charters with equipment and guide can be arranged locally in Killala. There are many local shore fishing opportunities. There are several quality golf courses in the area, the nearest being Ballina (10mins), Inniscrone Links course (20 mins) overlooking the Atlantic. Others within an hours drive are Westport, Castlebar and the famous links course at Carne, Belmullet.There are many fine beaches in the area to choose from. The local beach at Ross (10mins) with its three kilometers of un-spoilt sand has Blue Flag status. Inniscrone beach (25 Mins), also a Blue Flag beach, has a 5km stretch of fine sands backed by sand dunes.
