| Henrys Lodge is situated down a private track amidst natural woodlands and rolling countryside. This charming wood-lined lodge is presented to a high standard throughout and offers bright and attractive accommodation in a quiet country setting a real retreat. The modern, well-equipped kitchen opens out onto a good-sized dining area with uninterrupted views across open farmland. Deer, pine martin and a variety of birds can be seen direct from the windows. The spacious lounge is tastefully furnished and decorated and the two double bedrooms and modern shower room provide a warm, welcoming ambience. A large verandah and decked barbeque area surrounds the lodge and provides a superb outside dining and relaxing area. Situated on the edge of Delnies Wood, there are wonderful walks and trails direct from the property, yet it is also easily accessible to nearby towns and villages. The charming seaside town of Nairn, with its award-winning blue flag sandy beach is within 3 miles. Here there is also an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and small shops, together with a fascinating area known as Fisher town from the days when Nairn was a thriving fishing village. The area is renowned for its wealth of sporting activities and places of interest. There are two championship golf courses in close proximity and numerous other courses within easy reach. Horse riding, cycling, sailing, wind-surfing, canoeing and fishing are all enjoyed locally. The Moray coast is renowned for its fine beaches and its sea-life, particularly the bottle-nosed dolphins and colonies of seals that are regularly spotted close to shore. There are numerous historic sites and places of interesting the vicinity. Cawdor Castle is well worth a visit, with its association with Macbeth; the garden grounds are simply stunning. Culloden battlefield, Fort George and the Whisky and Castle Trails are all popular with visitors. Henrys Lodge is easily accessible for exploring the whole of the Highland region and is well served for transport, with Inverness airport and Nairn railway station both within 5 miles. Property is all on ground floor level, heated by calor gas central heating. |
