Footpaths lead from the doorstep across the farm to the Iron Age hill fort of Waddon Hill and the surrounding countryside. The historic town of Beaminster (Thomas Hardy’s ‘Emminster’) is 3 miles and both West Bay and Bridport are approximately 8 miles. The World Heritage Jurassic coastline incorporating the tropical micro climate of the Abbotsbury gardens and swannery, the spectacular Chesil beach, the fossil hunter’s paradise of the seaside towns of Charmouth and Lyme Regis, are all just 15 miles away.
