The Property
A charming wing of the owner's 19th Century stone built farmhouse in the heart of the tiny village of Combs, 8 miles from Buxton. Set on a working farm, this lovely property is bright and sunny and retains many original features that add to its character. The delightful stone floored kitchen is well equipped, whilst the traditional-style sitting room boasts an inviting open fire for the winter months. An ideal setting close to the village pub, with views across the rolling hillside, a pretty, well established garden and an early morning wake up call from the resident cockerel makes Jessie's Cottage a real rural delight! A great location for touring the National Park, walking or simply relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of this pretty area.

| Situated right in the heart of the Peak District, the quiet village of Combs is nestled amidst the surrounding hills in a truly tranquil location. This lovely farming village is perfect for rambling and cycling or fishing on the beautiful reservoir nearby and boasts a traditional village pub serving excellent food on a lovely terrace. Chapel en le Frith, the Capital of the Peaks, is only two miles away and has a cobbled market place that still retains its historic stocks. A further eight miles down the road is Buxton, famous for its therapeutic spring water, its Pavillion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House. This theatre still holds a variety of shows, attracting people from all over the world. Castleton and its popular blue-John caves are also close by, as are the stately homes Chatsworth House and Lyme Hall. |
