A traditional, terraced cottage in Birnieknowes, a small rural hamlet 6 miles from Dunbar in southern Scotland. Set in an “L” shaped terrace, the cottage retains much of its traditional character, and offers cosy, comfortable accommodation, with views of the open sea. Relax in the enclosed garden and enjoy a glass of wine after a day exploring the surrounding areas. With the excellent walking of the Southern Upland Way on the doorstep, historic houses and churches, and the beaches of East Lothian, Cove and Coldingham to enjoy, this traditional Scotland cottage offers an excellent base from which to explore Dunbar and all the surrounding areas.

| Located on the south east coast of Scotland, the lively seaside town of Dunbar is ideally situated for touring and exploring the area. With impressive sandy beaches and ample of pubs, restaurants, museums and leisure facilities, the town offers something to satisfy all tastes, including the Seabird Centre at North Berwick Harbour, Tantallon Castle and the Museum of Flight, where visitors can walk under the wings of Scotland's Concorde. The world famous diving site at St Abbs is close by, and beaches at Cove and Coldingham offer an incredibly scenic backdrop to coastal walks. Nearby Cockburnspath lies on the eastern extremity of the Southern Upland Way and is a long distance footpath from the west to east coast of the country. A short drive or train journey north will take you to Edinburgh – a vibrant city with a wonderful arts culture -whilst Berwick-upon-Tweed and Lindisfarne are just a short drive south. |
