About Mabels House
Cottage rental includes
Mabels House is an immaculately presented semi-detached bungalow nestled within the heart of the welcoming conservation village of Morebattle situated within the Scottish Borders. Access to the accommodation is via a ramp and then all conveniently being on ground floor level. With much thought, care and attention to detail, Mabels House offers fresh accommodation affording lovely views across the Kale valley toward Linton Hill beyond. A friendly greeting regularly awaits visitors to Morebattle found snuggled at the foot of the heather-clad Cheviot Hills and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The village sits along the challenging route of the St Cuthberts Way making this an ideal location for those who enjoy walking and cycling. The bustling market town of Kelso with its quaint French style cobbled market square is home to one of the four Borders Abbeys and offers a wide array of facilities including indoor swimming, many charming tea rooms, a lovely Italian restaurant, pubs and an ice-rink a mere 7 miles away. Golfers will enjoy the prestigious Roxburghe course and Springwood Park showground hosts many international horse-riding events throughout the year. The salmon rich River Tweed will delight those who enjoy fishing and Floors Castle (which is softly illuminated at night and was recently voted number one in the top five attractions in the Borders) is home to the Duke of Roxburghe. The border town of Jedburgh, renowned for its 12th century Red Stone abbey and where the Castle Jail and Museum and Mary Queen of Scots House are also interesting visitor attractions only 9 miles west. Mabels House provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore the many historic border toons across Southern Scotland and north Northumberland too.
