About Old Church Hall Cottage rental includes
The Old Church Hall is a truly stunning award-winning conversion of an historic Church building. Voted Best Conversion of an Old Building in the UK as well as winning the prestigious Scottish Homes Award for the best conversion, this spectacular property represents the height of luxury in every respect. Originally owned by the Earl of Seafield, the current architect-owner has incorporated the very best of modern living whilst retaining the amazing features of this lovely old stone building. The main living accommodation is situated on the first floor. A massive open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area with high vaulted ceilings has its focus on the incredible seascapes afforded by the original Church window area. The floor to ceiling windows drink in the ever-changing seascapes of the Moray Firth. They cleverly incorporate French doors which open the room to sea breezes and views of the dolphins and seals that frequent these waters. Enjoy spectacular evening sunsets from the deep leather suites and watch the fishing boats as they head out in the early morning. The three spacious bedrooms are on the ground floor, together with a very large luxury bathroom. With solid oak flooring, under floor heating and a state-of-the-art kitchen this property has the wow factor in every respect. The coast along this region is renowned for its dramatic and ever-changing scenery. Small coves and rocky outcrops are interspersed with superb sandy beaches. There are lovely walks direct from the property as well as excellent cycle paths, following coastal routes or inland lanes and forestry tracks. The Speyside Way passes through just a few yards from the cottage. This particularly spectacular route runs through to the attractive seaside town of Cullen via the Cullen viaduct with the sweeping sands below. Boat excursions run from the nearby fishing village of Buckie and are highly recommended to view the sea-life closer to hand. The area is also renowned for its wealth of sea-birds and even the occasional whale has been seen close to shore. There are numerous castles and distilleries on the famous Whisky and Castle Trails. The area is renowned for its golf and there are a number of excellent golf courses right on the doorstep Strathlene Golf club is just 5 minutes drive away.
