About Old Drapery
Cottage rental includes
Old Drapery is situated in the heart of the charming old town of Buckie, formerly one of the busiest fishing ports on the Moray coast. This attractive property, converted from the old draper's shop, is now a stunning, one bedroom studio ground floor apartment. Finished and furnished to a very high standard the accommodation comprises a welcoming lounge with an open plan kitchen area, a luxurious shower room and an inviting double bedroom. An ideal pied a terre for two in the heart of the Moray Firth region. Buckie is a charming old port and offers a range of cafes, bars and shops. It provides an excellent tourist destination from which to explore this lovely coastal region, renowned for its golf, fishing, walking, cycling and wide variety of water sports. Go "watching" the famous Moray Firth dolphins that are frequently spotted in the area. Boat excursions run from Buckie and are highly recommended to view the sea life closer to hand. Head inland to the heart of the 'whisky country' taking in Keith, Dufftown and the numerous historic Speyside whisky centres. The Castle Heritage Trail also provides a fascinating insight into Highland Scotland's romantic and turbulent history. The pretty fishing villages dotted along the Moray coast are a real delight, with small winding streets and pretty harbours. Old Drapery is also ideally located for exploring the tow main Highland cities of Aberdeen and Inverness, being almost equidistant between them. With miles of unspoilt coastline, interspersed with pretty fishing villages, castles and distilleries it provides a superb base from which to explore this beautiful and fascinating area. The property is all on ground floor level, has gas central heating.
