Home to a National Hunt racecourse offering a good selection of race meetings through the year the village lies just 4 miles from fine shopping in Wrexham and within an easy drive of Chester's black and white timbered shopping rows and world famous zoo whilst Erddig one of the National Trust's most fascinating properties is only 2 miles away. Easily accessible too is the lovely town of Llangollen known worldwide for its annual Eisteddfod and boasting a steam railway horse drawn barges and canal boat rides as well as narrowboat excursions across the breathtaking heights of the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Visitors can enjoy excellent walking in the Bickerton Hills and golf fishing and riding are all found nearby.
