This refurbished cottage is perfect for any getaway, 4 miles outside of the heritage town of Killaloe. It can be rented alone, or combined with adjoining property 6123 to accommodate up to 12 people. An Activities Centre less than 2 miles away offers sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and other sporting activities. You can also hire boats for trips up the Shannon river. Golf is also available, and there are many fine pubs and restaurants in the area, many with music. The cottage offers a cosy retreat with a large living area and two bedrooms, one with four single beds.

We are close to the picturesque banks of Lough Derg, and four miles from the heritage town of Killaloe, the ancient capital of All Ireland. The Cathedral dates back over 700 years.
The Activities Centre run by the University of Limerick is less than two miles from us. It offers to the public sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and other sporting activities. During the summer children's sailing and other courses are organized.
The surrounding mountains and forests have many scenic walks which include the Lough Derg Way and the East Clare Way.
There are a number of good local restaurants and pubs, often with traditional Irish music and dancing.
There are many places of interest in the area for all ages: Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the Celtic settlement of Craggaunowen, the ancient cities of Limerick and Galway and the market towns of Nenagh and Ennis.
The west coast of County Clare has sandy beaches for safe swimming and surfing. There is a pebble beach with a lifeguard nearby. There are dolphins at Doolin and further along the coast are the magnificent Cliffs of Moher.
The Burren has unusual rock formations and plants, and wedged tombs as well as the famous Polnabrone Dolman. Also in the Burren are the Ailwee Caves.
There are several scenic golf courses in the locality, with the outstanding East Clare Golf Club only 15 minutes drive away.
The Shannon region has a wonderful Atlantic coastline and a profusion of lakes and rivers which make the area a paradise for anglers and birdwatchers. Boats for hire for pleasure or fishing are available in Killaloe and Mountshannon.
There are a number of equestrian centres in the area offering indoor areas and pony trekking for riders at all levels.
Numerous festivals and events are organised throughout the summer months.
