A short walk from this County Leitrim cottage are leisure facilities including an outdoor heated pool in the summer months, tennis and playground, while the area is an angler's delight with bait room on site and boat and gillie hire available. Visit nearby Drumshanbo, surrounded by rolling countryside, with its lively pubs and mouth watering restaurants, or enjoy several excellent golf courses in the area. Carrick-on-Shannon has plenty to offer, be it browsing the shops and eateries, hiring a boat on the River Shannon or relaxing in an authentic Irish bar with the locals. | Drumshanbo is a traditional Irish town located in County Leitrim. It is home to lively Irish pubs, mouth watering restaurants and quaint shops, and also plays host to a number of popular festivals which are held throughout the year. Walkers and ramblers will be delighted to learn that the town is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, woodlands and lakes. To the north of the town is Lough Allen, the third largest lake on the River Shannon, with excellent angling and opportunities for windsurfing, canoeing and other water sports. If golf is your game, you will find four excellent courses within easy reach. |
