Located between Elgin and Forres, this comfortable and spacious former croft cottage is situated within open farmland. Renovated and decorated to a high standard, it provides flexible sleeping arrangements by using zip link beds in 2 of the bedrooms. Springfield Croft is an excellent base for exploring, with Brodie, Cawdor and Ballindalloch Castles within easy driving distance, as is Fort George, an historic, and still utilised fortified site. Culloden, the historic battle ground is just an hour’s drive. The county of Moray has the only malt whisky trail in the world – 7 distilleries and the Speyside cooperage are easily reached from the Croft. If retail therapy attracts you – the Johnston’s Cashmere Visitor Centre is just 8 miles away, and Brodie Countryfair is only 30 minutes drive. Findhorn, famous for its “Community” is 6 miles away, and Findhorn village has excellent restaurants and pubs, plus a wide range of water sports opportunities. The wonderful sandy beach adjoining Roseisle Forest is 2 miles down the road from the Croft. There are cycle and walking trails in the Forest, and the beach is part of the amazing Burghead Bay, with miles and miles of unspoilt sands. Within 2 miles of the Croft there are trout fishing lakes and quad biking trails, and an excellent 18 hole golf course which welcomes visitors, and boasts the18 hole Himalayas Crazy Putting Green. |
