| About Steading Cottage |
Cottage rental includes |
| Commanding breathtaking, uninterrupted views of beautiful open countryside toward the Lomond Hills, this traditional stone cottage was once part of a farm steading, which has been successfully converted to provide holiday accommodation to an excellent standard. Steading Cottage, where all accommodation has the advantage of being at ground floor level, enjoys the welcoming comfort of a wood burning stove, making this cottage a cosy choice, whatever the season! The property is tastefully furnished throughout and is very well appointed; Visit Scotland has awarded it a 4 star rating! Steading Cottage is situated on a working farm at West Newton of Balcanquhal, only 2 miles from the pretty, rural village of Glenfarg where amenities include a shop, play park and tennis courts. This is the heart of Perth and Kinross where hill walking, fishing, shooting and a variety of water sports are only a small sample of the many leisure activities on offer. The spectacular Fife Coastal Route, where many picturesque fishing villages and stunning scenery can be explored, is easily accessible and golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the several prestigious courses, including Gleneagles and St Andrews, close by. Perth offers visitors ample attractions, including many fine restaurants, a large concert hall plus several historical sites of interest such as Scone Palace and Perth races only 10 miles away - and Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh, with its magnificent castle, museums, art galleries and renowned festival is only 45 minutes by road or train. |
