About Stone Cottage Cottage rental includes
Situated in the heart of Oxenhope, Stone Cottage enjoys superb accommodation which is suitable for couples and small families alike. Recently refurbished to a particularly high standard, the lounge enjoys the comfort and warmth of an open fire, along with 32 flat screen TV and a dining area which overlooks the enclosed courtyard. The Kitchen is bright and airy enjoying spectacular long distance views over the moorland and a spacious utility room is perfect for storing boots, coats and bicycles. From the kitchen, an open staircase leads to an open mezzanine with a sofa bed which can either be used for a 3 person, or as a quiet seating area. As this area is open to the stairs a stair gate will be provided if used by young children.

From the cottage door, wonderful footpath walks lead into the rolling hills and heather strewn moors which are often referred to as Bronte Country and it was this surrounding countryside where the Bronte sisters drew their inspiration for writing. The neighbouring village of Haworth is home of the Bronte Parsonage Museum which stands at the head of the cobbled High Street and was formerly their childhood home, housing a history of their life and works. For visitors, a selection of gift shops and tea rooms line this famous cobbled street, taking you back in time with mementoes on offer to remind you of your trip!

Other nearby attractions in the area include the Worth Valley Steam Railway, Cliffe Castle Museum, Skipton Castle, East Riddlesden Hall and Saltaire Mill housing the largest collection of work by the artist David Hockney to name but a few. For the shopaholic, Skipton, known as Gateway to the Dales, holds an outdoor market 4 days of the week selling anything from pots and pans, locally sourced foods and fashion items. Or try Boundary Mill at Colne, as advertised on TV which is quite a unique store selling designer clothing, home ware, kitchen accessories, china and crystal and various gadgets.

Initial supply of coal, background heating, power, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair. Internet access is available on request.

Enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and BBQ. Secure off road parking for one car 50 yards from property, parking is also available by cottage but this is on a first come, first served basis.
