| About The Beach House |
Cottage rental includes |
| Idyllically situated on the Fife coast, in the village of Cellardyke, The Beach House offers stylish and comfortable accommodation, whatever the time of year. The stunning kitchen/dining room has floor to ceiling windows and French doors giving direct access to the sea shore. Under a watchful eye, children will love clambering over the rocks and searching in the rock pools. Upstairs the master bedroom boasts a large balcony with superb uninterrupted views across the sea to the Isle of May, ideal for a romantic breakfast or to enjoy the sunset at the end of the day. From The Beach House you can enjoy a stroll to neighbouring Anstruther, which has a good selection of shops. Enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes on the marina or fish and chips from the famous Anstruther fish bar or perhaps dinner at The Cellar Restaurant - holder of 3AA rosettes and UK seafood restaurant of the year. Whilst in Anstruther you could visit the Scottish Fisheries Museum, the local RNLI station or you could take a boat trip from the harbour to the Isle of May and visit the world renowned bird sanctuary and nature reserve. The bird life includes Puffins, Cormorants and Eider duck and if you are lucky you may spot a dolphin or a seal. Golfers will be spoilt for choice a 9 hole course in Anstruther and excellent courses nearby in Kingsbarns and Elie, with St Andrews, the home of golf, only 10 miles away. You could take a walk on part of the Fife Coastal Path, which runs from North Queensferry in the south, 150km to the Tay Bridge in the north, with historic castles, quaint fishing villages and many beautiful beaches and coves to visit along the way. For the cyclist the Millennium Cycle Way allows you to explore 300 miles along quiet country roads, disused railways and forest tracks, an excellent way to admire the stunning coastline and the rolling countryside. With Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth all within an hours drive, The Beach House is a fantastic House from which to explore the Kingdom of Fife and beyond.Property has gas central heating. |
