| This beautifully renovated attached byre sits within 8 acres of farmland and is half a mile off the main road down a farm track. The thick original stone walls, high beamed ceiling and stable door give character and the tasteful fixtures and decoration give a fresh, modern, light and airy feeling to the property. The Byre is heated with under floor heating, with tiled floors throughout. The property is ideal for couples who enjoy the countryside and it is an idyllic honeymooners retreat. The Byre has its own small private enclosed garden, with outdoor seating. You also have use of the owners large grassy garden and there is a small loch in front of the property. The owners allow fishing, they have hens and grow their own vegetables, so you may be lucky and get a few fresh eggs or some garden produce! This is a fantastic rural location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living but is still situated in a central location to explore all that is on offer in Argyll. You look out onto the mountains up Glen Etive and twin peaks of Beinn Cruachan, famous as the "Hollow Mountain" and is home to a hydro scheme built deep into the mountain. An area which has fantastic outdoor activities, cycling on quiet roads, walking, climbing all round, historical locations, stunning scenery, with spectacular coastline and abundant wildlife. Taynuilt village (1.5 miles) has its own 9 hole golf course. There are a good selection of shops in the village including a butchers and an antique shop. A short walk away and you are down at the seashore, you can take a cruise up Loch Etive and visit the Bonawe Furnace. A short drive to Oban (12 miles) offers swimming pool, good shopping, a whiskey distillery, McCaig's Tower and much more. Take a day trip on a ferry to the islands or travel north over the Connel Bridge to visit the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary (7 miles). Or just relax and explore the Glens surrounding the Byre.Property has oil under floor heating. |
