Located on a quiet country lane in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that belies its proximity to the beautiful and historic town of Newport, the Cowshed is a holiday home with a view. Adjoining a 16th Century farmhouse, the barn was added around 200 years later and has been converted in a style that is in keeping with its surroundings. Overlooking a large pond and boasting many original features, yet comfortable enough to call home, visitors can enjoy beautiful views from the comfort of the sitting room. They also have use of the owner's garden where they might spy a handful of chickens or a small herd of Berkshire pedigree pigs located nearby. Whilst everything on the Isle of Wight is worth exploring, the islands major town of Newport has an array of Georgian and Victorian architecture, a gallery, cinema, three theatres, pubs, restaurants and shops. A little further afield are Ventor, Yarmouth, Cowes and Bembridge.
