| This attractive, detached, single-storey cottage stands on the banks of the trout-filled River Avon, with full fishing rights by arrangement with the owner. The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages, and across the river is the 16th-century Heale House with 8 acres of beautiful gardens, including Japanese teahouse. Nearby is Stonehenge, and the lesser known neolithic site of Woodhenge. Salisbury has Britain’s finest medieval cathedral with the best preserved original Magna Carta. Cholderton rare breeds farm park with nature trails and water gardens, or the Museum of Army Flying, are interesting day trips. Shop and pub 1 mile.
