| The Gallery Flat is located in the heart of the West Coast town of Oban, only a minute walk from the sea and promenade. This first floor apartment has its own private front door entrance at street level with space to store bicycles in the hallway. A carpeted staircase leads to the entrance of the flat, which comprises of an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. From the lounge there are views across George Square. Below the flat is a great Patisserie where you can enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon tea. The property is close to all amenities and within walking distance from the ferry, train and bus services, making it an ideal location to travel by public transport. Oban has a large selection of shops, leisure facilities and live traditional music venues. There is a local whisky distillery and overlooking the town is the famous McCaigs Tower. There are some great restaurants and the area is well known for its seafood and local produce. Oban is renowned as the "Gateway to the Isles" with ferries departing for Mull and Iona, Coll, Tiree, Colansay, Lismore and Kerrera. The area of Argyll has so much to offer all ages and interests. To the North there is the Sea Life Centre at Benderloch; the famous "Hollow Moutain" at Cruachan is home to a hydro scheme built deep into the mountain and a reservoir high above - a unique attraction for all the family. To the South is Kilmartin Glen, an area rich in historical legacy, offers over 350 ancient monuments to discover and explore. The marvelous countryside, stunning scenery and sea views provide great opportunities to spot wildlife: deer on the hillside, eagles soaring high in the sky and seals bobbing in the sea. Argyll is fantastic for walkers and climbers with many hill and mountain ranges within the area. Coastal walks provide great bird watching opportunities, places to launch a canoe / kayak or to try your hand at a spot of sea fishing. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach.
