There is a pretty patio area, taking full advantage of the stunning surrounding countryside, ideal for enjoying a drink on a summers evening. The pretty cliff top village of Catterline is just 2 miles away and boasts The Creel Inn, well known for its excellent seafood. The area has much to offer with a network of cycle routes, endless walking opportunities and a good selection of golf courses. The Castle and Malt whisky trails in Royal Deeside are within easy reach. The town of Stonehaven is only 3 miles away and offers a good selection of shops and restaurants - whilst you are there why not enjoy a stroll along the beachfront and indulge yourself with an ice cream! The area is rich in wildlife, with seabirds on the cliffs at Fowlsheugh and seals, minke whales and dolphins can be spotted off the coast. The north east coastal trail runs for more than 150 miles taking in many pretty villages, coves and beaches along the way. Aberdeen is only 15 miles to the north and has a fantastic selection of attractions and activities. Montrose is south of The Neuk where you will find the Montrose Basin RSPB reserve, Montrose Air station heritage centre with its extensive range of displays and Lunan bay, a stunning, broad, east facing beach of beautiful sand, backed by dunes stretching for 2 miles.
