Set in 104 acres of pasture and woodland (right photograph) with a ¼ acre wildlife lake it offers frequent sightings of roe deer lapwings curlews and water fowl and walking in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park from the door. Castleton (1½ miles) boasts shops village inns and scenic train rides to Whitby's harbour and sandy beaches (15 miles).
