Cottage rental includes |
| Rowen is located in North Wales in the Conwy Valley within the Snowdonia National Park. The hamlet, with its whitewashed cottages and stunning views, has a reputation for peace and tranquillity and is a favourite with walkers and ramblers who explore the moorland and countryside that lies above this little village. The Roman Road, which passes above Rowen, runs close to many sites of historical interest, including the Maen-y-Bardd, a megalithic burial chamber that dates back to 3,500BC. It is set high on a hill and offers some spectacular views along the valley. A little further along you will find more standing stones at Bwlch y Ddeufaen. Nearby is Conwy, a World Heritage Site, which boasts an imposing castle and near-complete Roman walls. In addition, there is a fishing harbour and Plas Mawr, which is one of the best preserved medieval town houses in the country. In addition to a variety of National trust properties, there are also stunning beaches, the internationally-acclaimed Bodnant Gardens, Victorian Llandudno and the village of Betws-y-Coed. |
