Walkers can enjoy discovering a very varied landscape from high chalk hills through the winding lanes of sleepy valleys to the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap (N.T.). The nearest beach is at West Bay just 4 miles away where rowing boats can be hired and fishing excursions arranged. Along the coast is Lyme Regis whose sheltered harbour famously featured as a setting for the film The French Lieutenant's Woman. The historic market town of Dorchester is 15 miles.
