| About Whisper Cottage |
Cottage rental includes |
| Tucked away in a quiet backwater this traditional former lead miner’s cottage dating back to the 1800s is set in a peaceful corner in the picturesque village of Hebden in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Whisper Cottage has immense charm and character with flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and panelled doors, with a multi fuel stove for cooler days, it is well presented offering very comfortable accommodation. It is a lovely country retreat for a relaxing holiday or for walking, cycling and exploring some of the prettiest countryside in the Dales. Close to the cottage is an original Pack Horse bridge leading to the hills and countryside of this beautiful area, with a lovely riverside stroll along the valley to Grassington. Hebden has a country inn serving good meals, shop/PO, tearoom and a regular bus service. Grassington 1 ½ miles away has a range of high quality individual shops around the cobbled market square, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants, and is host to the Grassington Festival in late June and the annual Dickensian weekends in December. Situated midway between Skipton and Pateley Bridge with Burnsall and Bolton Abbey just a few minutes drive away. |
