The grounds have been landscaped keeping in close touch with the natural flora and fauna of its riverside position. The lodge has outside decking almost over the lake so you can relax with the sound of gently lapping water and watch the wildlife. All on one level with under floor heating and a wood burning stove, you will find furnishings of a very high standard in modern style providing a warm and very comfortable retreat. There is river and lake fishing available and the whole of Swaledale and Wensleydale are easily accessible by car. Richmond, just 2 miles away, has a superb medieval castle, ample shops, tea shops, restaurants and pubs serving good food. There is a Georgian Little Theatre providing entertainment throughout the year and the old railway station has a leisure centre, café/restaurant and art gallery, Brompton just a half mile away also has a pub serving good food and shop/post office.
