Close by Sewerby Hall and Gardens (½ mile) afford access to the lovely sandy beach and a land train connects to the promenade and heart of the thriving seaside resort of Bridlington (1 mile) with its Spa Theatre indoor swimming pool cinemas pubs and restaurants and working harbour offering fishing and leisure boat trips. Golf is available locally and the surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling with RSPB Bempton Cliffs only 3 miles away and the coves of Flamborough Head 5 miles. The city of York is under an hour's drive and Scarborough Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay all offer great days out. Shop and post office ½ mile.
