2 Ivy Cove in Lannacombe

Lannacombe Bay is one of the most beautiful unspoilt stretches of coastline anywhere in England, where dramatic cliffs fall away to sandy coves and the coastal path clambers its way from Start Point to Salcombe and beyond. No. 2 is the middle cottage of three attached coastguard cottages built by the Admiralty in 1903. Owned by the same family since the 1940's it's a much loved family home, a little rough around the edges but still provides cozy, practical, no frills accommodation in a simply glorious spot, well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage will suit those who want access to the area and aren't too worried about all the comforts of modern living, prefering the simplicity of an earlier time. There are two fine beaches on the doorstep, one shingle and one sand, both good for swimming and perfect for rock-pooling, beach art and family use.
